Swords and Cookery: Candy Dwarves.

I'm currently having fun developing a fantasy world based around food. Here are some concepts for the candy mines and dwarves.

"Dwarves are masters in mining for rock candy and forging this ore into weapons. Their greatest technological feat was to canalize the explosive reaction occurring when an underground soda lake comes into contact with mentosite minerals into a powerful ranged weapon.
Cotton spiders are domesticated by dwarves to carry candy crystals. Their ability to build webs made of the candy floss they produce is especially useful to navigate in the complex layout of the mines.
Dwarves aren’t the only ones to spend time in the candy mines and some encounters can be deadly! Sweet tooth bats can absorb blood sugar by biting, causing hypoglycemia. Glycemir giants can feed on raw rock candy are very territorial. Diabeast are fierce predators able to dissolve the most solid candy weapons in a few licks."
